Since 2001 Hamburgs diverse museum landscape presents itself in its impressive variety every year. For one night more than 50 museums, collections, exhibitions, memorials and ships open their doors, gates and piers for thousands of visitors until after midnight.
From six pm to 2 am they offer a colorful program consisting of about 850 singular events. Visitors can take part in guided tours with curators, lectures and peeks behind the scenes as well as music, dance and theater presentations and enjoy culinary and many other experiences. This mix of museums and entertainment has moved up to 30.000 visitors into Hamburgs museums and exhibitions in the past years.
Online-Ticketing and ticket scanning was realized with go~mus in 2017, 2018 and 2019. 2020 unfortunately saw a cancellation of the regular long night of museums due to COVID-19.
The next Long Night of Museums will take place in April 2021.
